Lake Hayward Public Beach is off Hwy 27 South to Hwy B-Left on B, One Block to S 2nd Street Turn Left on 2nd Street, Two blocks to the City Beach

PARKS: 

Shues Pond is Downtown Hayward WI is located on Kansas Ave with street side parking available. Covered Gazebo, picnic tables available, playground & swings, dogs allowed, perfect place to bring your family and have a picnic or gathering.

Town of Hayward Recreational Forest is about 4 miles of trails, woods, a small lake, & wildlife. In the winter months, cross country ski trails, a sledding hill, & snowshoeing.

Library Nature Park is a walking trail approximately 1/2 mile long is available for a walk through the forest and around a small pond and wet land.

Hatchery Creek Park is a county-owned park is located just two miles east of Hayward. The park features a warming house, toilets, picnic area, and hiking trails.

Hayward Lake
covers more than 247 acres and reaches depths up to 17 feet. Musky, walleye, bass, and panfish thrive

Big and Little Round lakes cover more than 3,000 acres, reach depths up to 74 feet and are connected by a navigable channel.

Lac Courte Oreilles Lakes are 4800 acres with weed beds for musky, northern pike, large/smallmouth bass, walleye, and panfish.

Chippewa Flowage is Wisconsin’s largest wilderness lake. Over 15,000 acres, depth of 92 feet, 140 islands, and 200 miles of undeveloped shoreline

Grindstone Lake is 3100 acre lake with hardwoods, pines, and bordered by beaches, Grindstone Lake contains plenty of walleye, musky, pike, bass, and panfish.

Nelson Lake covers 3,000 acres of water, 31 miles of shoreline, depths reaching 33 feet, and provides great fishing habitat.

Long Lake is the Walleye Capital of Wisconsin, it is a 3,300 acre, 19-mile-long lake reaching depths of over 70 feet.
